DOJ Charges Comey With Look-Maxxing to Make Presidential Jawline Appear Weak

WASHINGTON, DC — The U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday announced charges against former FBI director James Comey, alleging he engaged in a coordinated “look-maxxing” campaign designed to subtly undermine the perceived strength of the president’s jawline.

According to a 47-page filing unsealed this morning, prosecutors claim Comey “knowingly and with aesthetic intent” adopted a regimen of improved posture, strategic lighting, and what officials described as “aggressive chin-forward framing,” all of which resulted in “an unfair and destabilizing contrast when appearing in shared media environments with the president.”

“While personal grooming is generally protected,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “the deliberate enhancement of appearance to draw comparisons to the Commander-in-Chief constitutes a form of optical interference.” Investigators reportedly began monitoring Comey after a series of public appearances in which observers noted his jawline appeared “increasingly resolute” compared to what one internal memo labeled “a more negotiable presidential profile.”

The filing outlines an alleged pattern of behavior, including the use of high-contrast lighting, tailored suit collars “engineered to cradle and emphasize lower facial geometry,” and a controversial technique referred to in the document as “micro-mewing with intent.” Officials further allege Comey rehearsed “neutral but firm expressions” in mirrors for up to 90 minutes a day.

Legal experts say the case could test the limits of existing statutes. “We’ve seen charges related to financial manipulation, even election interference,” said one analyst. “But this is the first time the government has attempted to regulate comparative bone structure.”

In a brief statement, Comey denied wrongdoing, saying, “I categorically reject the notion that my face poses a threat to anyone’s leadership.”

At press time, sources confirmed the administration is considering new guidelines requiring all former officials to maintain “baseline symmetry” when appearing within 500 feet of the president.
